Nando’s Extra Hot Sauce
After spending over 2 years working on Blender, I decided to move on and start learning Cinema 4D. Even though the interface seemed a lot more simple and easier to understand, it did feel I had to learn as a beginner again.
One of the first things I wanted to learn was creating a bottle render. I chose the Nandos sauce bottle as my subject as it had several intricate designs which would test my skills.
As well as learning C4D I also had to understand the lighting and rendering with Redshift. This in my opinion is the stage which takes most of the time to achieve a great outcome. The project also helped me understand the ‘node editor’, learning how to add images to the labels, bumps to textures and embossing to the glass. All of this subtle details helped to enhance the realism to the final renders.
