Reisser Crate Mate
Reisser is an international supplier of high quality, high performance wood screws and power tools accessories aimed at specifically the professional trade. Reisser wanted a high-end CGI hygiene video which showcases Reisser’s new product, Crate Mate. Visualising the unique interchangeable compartments, uses, versatility and the premium quality materials.
To reflect the clean, modern and professional look of the Reisser Crate Mate, it was decided that the art direction of the video had to compliment this. The backgrounds being neutral tones, enhanced each individual component of the product with their being no other elements distracting the viewer.
Showcasing all three different sizes of the product at the start of the video gives the viewer a clearer understanding of what the video is all about. Each scene afterwards then highlights key qualities of the Reisser Crate Mate with annotations to give more explanation.
Lighting and texturing was an important part of the process. With the scenes being very stripped back, the way the product looked became the main focus. Experimenting with the materials with reflections, lighting, shadows and textures was going to determine how realistic the CGI would turn out. Another useful addition to enhance realism was the use of depth of field and motion blur.
There are several accessories which accompany the Crate Mate product which made the video even more eye-catching, such as, tools, foam protector, trollies and tubs. It all helped to show how useful the product is for the target audience and supported the CGI realism.
